2019-2024
My dissertation research explores a theme of communicative goals in data visualization design. In particular, I studied the potential for designers to use learning objectives as a framwork to describe their data visualization designs.
Most recently, I wrote an article for Nightingale (Issue 04 - Emotion) about neutrality and affective intents in data visualization.
My collaborator Eytan Adar created this website www.visualobjectives.net as a starting point for designers to create their own learning objectives.
